Seeking a manager for our dynamic Cafe and Store in Dundalk Co.Louth. We're looking for a positive, ambitious, experienced General manager to run the busy resturant at STRANDFIELD, a vegetable-focused restaurant and market in Co.Louth. We're seeking someone who shares our goal: to create a restaurant culture based on respect, happiness, support, communication, health and fun -- all while putting out high-level work. A bit about STRANDFIELD: We are seven days a week, open daily, from 7am - 6pm . Our food is vibrant and abundant, creative and sophisticated, but not fussy. What you’ll find in our kitchen: all-local vegetables, fruits and dairy, exceptional coffees and teas; a rainbow of grains and legumes and spices from across the world and on. The General Manger’s responsibilities will include leading the FOH staff and managing daily operations of the restaurant,she or he will work closely with the owner and chefs on myriad aspects of the busienss. We're seeking someone who is passionate about our founding principles, and who sees this as an opportunity to be an integral part of an exciting restaurant and, potentially, a long-term part of a small business with big goals (products, expansion, etc.). Primary Responsibilities - Play an integral role in the development of an exciting, ambitious restaurant - Strive to create an open, respectful, healthy, inspiring work environment - Work with ownership to hire and train chefs and front of house staff (including assistant general managers) - Create, implement and communicate standards of operations and service standards - Oversee employee training and education, both pre-opening and ongoing - Manage staff scheduling - Work with ownership to manage accounting and manage operating and payroll costs, and to evaluate sales and budget - Conduct daily pre-shift meetings - Work with ownership to manage customer concerns - Provide insight into and strategy for the financial and operational success of the business - Ensure daily execution of cleaning and general upkeep of the dining room.
