EPS Group have a vacancy for an experienced Maintenance Electrician. The post will cover the Louth and Meath area and in particular Drogheda & Dundalk wastewater treatment plants plus the associated pumping stations. The ideal candidate would be a qualified electrician with 3 – 5 years proven experience in electrical maintenance preferably on water and wastewater mechanical & electrical equipment. The role will require installation, calibrating, servicing and fault finding a wide range of process analytical instruments & chemical dosing systems. Candidates should have proven ability to service, maintain & fault find electrical issues along with verification of signals back to PLC for inputs and outputs as required for plant control functions. Responsibilities; Routine electrical maintenance of sewage treatment works and sewage pumping station plant and equipment. Routine repair of sewage treatment works and sewage pumping station plant and equipment. The production of a routine electrical maintenance schedule using manufacturers and suppliers schedules and modifying them to achieve optimal maintenance in conjunction with the Area Supervisors. All routine operational and process activities required at the sewage treatment plants and the sewage pumping stations managed by EPS. The role involves general duties both inside and outside in all weathers. The job can involve heavy manual work at times. The role will require routine operational and process control activities as well equipment service and repair. Grounds maintenance and general house keeping duties are required. Candidates should be flexible regarding working hours. Weekend work will be required. The role will require stand by and call out on a rotational basis. Skills / Attributes; A minimum of 3 – 5 years experience preferably within the water treatment industry. Technical knowledge of 3 phase motors, starters, pumps, dosing pumps and associated instrumentation. Fault finding in general. Working with pumps, motors, dosing equipment (including pumps & controllers), control panels, instruments. Experience with PLC’s, automation and telemetry would also be an advantage. (IO verification. Education Requirements; Electrical Engineering/Instrumentation or RECI or ECSSA certified Electrician. Additional Requirements: Full clean driving licence. Safepass.
