Quality Manager Co. Louth. Role Overview: You will manage the Quality Team and liaise directly with the Production and Engineering Managers to assure all products are manufactured in accordance with a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) Quality Management System. Role Deliverables: • Lead the activities of the Quality Assurance Department including documentation management and activities related to material release. • Manage several quality systems including investigations, corrective actions and change control. • Responsible for appropriately staffing and developing the Quality Assurance organization to meet business needs. • Provide leadership and direction to the Quality and Site Management Teams to ensure business, quality and compliance goals are met. • Provide technical support in the identification of non-compliance’s / deviations from the quality system and implement corrective actions and procedures to prevent reoccurrence. • Investigating customer complaints and implementing corrective actions. • Measure close out of technical issues, NC’s, CAPAs, Supplier issues, Hygiene, Documentation. • Identify areas for improvement & work with teams to strive for a best in industry standard. • Actively participate in quality improvement plans to enhance product quality, line efficiency, reducing raw material waste, line downtime and ultimately reduced consumer complaints. • Ensure production planning is compliant with legislation, standards & customer requirements. • Ensure Quality KPI’s are achieved and maintained. • Ensure the QMS is implemented, maintained and improved on where necessary. • Monitor and report on Quality performance on a daily, weekly and monthly basis at the relevant forums. • Prepare for, participate in and in some cases, lead customer visits & 3rd party audits. • Give operational direction to the QA group in the execution of their duties. • Coach, develop, train and up skill employees in to enhance knowledge and understanding. • Champion the quality agenda on site always. Experience and Qualifications: • 8+ years relevant quality operations experience in GMP manufacturing environment. • Degree qualified in an Engineering/Science Discipline. • Experience in ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 22716:2007. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and have demonstrated the ability to lead in a previous role. • Experience in people management and development. • Strong team building skills with proven abilities in decision making and sound personal judgment. • Good organization and investigation skills are required. • Proven ability to influence.
