Description

6 months, full time fixed term contract. Overall Purpose of Job. To provide and ensure the provision of appropriate training in the Dublin/North East region to IWA staff, volunteers and service users in order to ensure quality standards of practice within the organization. Liaison. For the successful implementation of this role there are a number of key relationships which should be fostered and developed.  Primarily these will be with your regional colleagues, key regional Area/Regional Managers, Regional Directors, National Development Officers and Service Coordinators. Main Duties and Responsibilities. Deliver agreed training modules to IWA staff and members. Co-ordinate and support IWA panels of trainers as required. Record all training on the IWA training database or otherwise as required. Assist in design of training modules / course content and contribute to relevant training policy developments regionally and nationally. Liaise as necessary with all IWA departments. Provide monthly and other reports as necessary. Contribute to research and development as required. To carry out any other relevant and appropriate duties as may be reasonably assigned from time to time by the Training Manager. PERSON SPECIFICATION. Training, Experience and Qualifications.  A third level qualification (minimum level 7) in a relevant field, for example Training, Education, Social Care, Health or other relevant area. QQI Level 6 qualification in Train the Trainer. QQI People Handling Instruction Certificate. 3-4 years’ experience of training, preferably in the disability/social care sector. Experience in the delivery of QQI programmes is desirable. Recognised qualification in Health & Safety is desirable. Knowledge and Skills. Excellent presentation skills and strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite is essential. Knowledge of disability issues. A full driving license and own car are required. Behaviours. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. The ability to work on your own initiative and to contribute to a dynamic training team. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Highly organized with ability to work under pressure, prioritise & multi task. Remuneration & Benefits. Salary between €25,752 and €42,891 per annum (DOE. Paid expenses and mileage.
