Junior Graphic Designer. Role Type : Permanent. Job Location: Co Louth. Role Overview: The Junior Graphic/ NPD Designer will work alongside senior designers is responsible for producing artwork for both concept and final new product packaging designs and prototypes. This role will suit someone with one to two years experience, if you have previous cosmetic packaging experience all the better. Role Deliverables: 1. Creating packaging for New Product Development activities. 2. Creating packaging key lines for flow wrap films, bags, boxes. 3. Produce packaging prototypes and mock ups. 4. Producing / reproducing packaging artwork across new skus. 5. Maintain and ensure brand consistency, including transformation over time. 6. Gathering product information such as barcodes, product codes, optimisation documents. 7. Works with Production and Purchasing team members for cost-effective solutions for jobs and projects. 8. Maintaining the management system for technical artwork / packaging/ NPD files. 9. Support NPD/ R&D Manager in other research/ NPD tasks as required. 10. Create artwork for other marketing material such as web banners, flyers and point of sale. 11. Generating other presentation / artwork pieces as required. The ideal candidate. • Ideally 3-year experience in FMCG packaging, or a fast-moving graphic environment. • Proficient in Adobe Creative suite (preferably windows not MAC), mainly Illustrator & Photoshop and experienced in developing artwork for print. • Understand the implications & requirements of cosmetic packaging regulations. • Must be extremely detail-oriented and an experienced proof-reader; ability to proof quickly while maintaining exceptionally high attention to detail and accuracy. • Creative problem-solving, and strong visual and spatial Skills. • Ability to produce prototypes and mock ups when required. • Must be highly organized, with demonstrated project management skills with ability to work under tight deadlines. • Excellent time management and can prioritize with minimal supervision. • Proven ability to balance multiple, competing priorities. • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. • Fluent PC skills including MS Office Suite, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe Creative suite. • Team Player and flexible in a changing environment.
