Role: Experienced Business Development Manager B2B. Overview of role : Our client is seeking an ambitious, high-performing Business Development Manager to help them reach and surpass their sales and growth targets while maintaining their high customer service levels. This is a senior role with wide-ranging and often complex responsibilities, which call for a depth and breadth of business knowledge beyond the business development discipline. The Business Development Manager is responsible for generating sales and driving revenue. You will manage customer relationships for new and existing accounts. Tactically, this will involve prospecting, acquiring, developing and expanding business leads. You will be capable of developing long-lasting customer relationships and gaining referrals with new and existing accounts. As Business Development Manager, you will have a deep understanding of the needs of various stakeholders, and be able to marshal the right resources with or without direct authority. The ideal candidate: Our client is seeking someone who is passionate about what they sell with a friendly “can do” attitude. You will be able to communicate with warmth and enthusiasm and convey a genuine love of your topic while showing a real interest in our customers business. You will enjoy relationship-based sales that convey a solid understanding of payroll services and associated issues. While payroll training will be provided, existing knowledge will be helpful. You will also be comfortable in developing long term business relationships with both customers and colleagues. Key responsibilities: Help develop and follow a definite sales process with KPIs to grow existing relationships and build new sales pipelines. Actively seek out, present and close new sales opportunities. Cross-sell and upsell additional services to current client base. Proactively seek out new business development opportunities and processes to help drive growth. Keep up to date on regulation and relevant industry advancements to ensure the business operates at the highest levels. Onsite meetings with sales presentations will be required. Complete RFI’s, tenders etc. within deadlines. Sales reporting. Maintain and help enhance their high customer service levels. There will also be a strong element of ongoing client management, ensuring that new and additional services are introduced to clients where appropriate. Requirements: Payroll / HR Software experience. 5 years proven track record as a sales representative or sales manager in the B2B sector, consistently meeting or exceeding targets. Able to act as a trusted advisor in addressing our customer`s business needs. Committed to continuous education through workshops, seminars and conferences. Quick learner (hit the ground running. Demonstrated ability to communicate, present, negotiate and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization. Strong business sense and industry expertise. Ability to perform in a collaborative and multi-disciplinary framework. BS/MS degree in business administration, finance or a related field is preferable. Self-Motivated. Strong customer interface and presentation skills, with a Customer Focus attitude and consultative sales approach. Complete / pass internal training programme. High energy / Professional /Resilient.
